The Details:

Candidate requirements:
  • The ability to coordinate all parties, sales, design and editorial involved in the production of a magazine. (To co-ordinate the whole process, being the 1st point of contact for sales, design, editorial and our advertisers).
  • To ensure the smooth running of all materials going into a wide variety of magazines.
  • Regular meetings with the Head of Production
  • Regular meetings with the editorial team
  • Communicating extensively across functions as well as with external clients and typesetting houses.   
  • Manage time wisely to ensure that the multiple deadlines that each of the magazines incur every week are met.  The ability to work to tight deadlines with a methodical approach.
  • Responsible for ensuring GDS Publishing’s high quality image is maintained by working to a high standard
  • Monitoring print quality.   
  • Provide creative guidance to clients and support on a daily basis.
  • Experience in photoshop, word, in design, adobe illustrator, acrobat are desired but not essential as training will be given.
  • The ability to adapt to a fast paced publishing environment.
  • Experience essential.
  • Organisational skills are essential
  • Good communication skills.  Ability to communicate at all levels, whether face to face or via telephone.
  • Self motivated.
  • Team Player.
  • Flexible.
