Homeland Science & Technology
It's been an eventful few months for US politics, with the President winning another four-year term. What this will mean for homeland security we can only speculate, but one thing is certain the men and women at the Department of Homeland Security will not be taking their eye off the ball.
In this issue of HST we have spoken to three senior figures within the department: Steven Cooper, Asa Hutchinson and Charles McQueary are all adamant that the good groundwork they've laid will be built upon. 'We will continue with the activities we've set fourth in terms of border and transportation security, secret service activity, the coastguard, our emergency and response directorate, and in terms of the research and development that our Science and Technology Directorate is doing,' says Cooper.
